Fuel Hauler CDL A
Complete Path
Getting your Class A and heading straight into fuel or chemical work. Both required ELDT courses plus practice for the tanker knowledge test — $50, saving $5.
Fuel and chemical hauling pays more than dry van, and it needs more paperwork. You need a Class A licence, a Hazmat endorsement, and a Tanker endorsement — together, hazmat and tanker show on your licence as the X endorsement.
Two of those three require ELDT. Tanker does not, which is why this bundle includes practice questions for it rather than a course you do not need.

What You're Actually Facing
| Requirement | ELDT needed? | Test | Background check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Class A licence | Yes — included | 3 permit tests | No |
| Hazmat (H) | Yes — included | 30 questions | TSA, 4–8 weeks |
| Tanker (N) | No | 20 questions | No |
| X endorsement | — | Both above | Via hazmat |
The X endorsement is not a separate test. Holding both hazmat and tanker is what produces it.
Who This Is For
First-Time Class A Going Into Fuel
Starting from no CDL and already know you want tanker work. This is the whole path in one purchase.
Anyone Told to Get Their X
Employers say “get your X” and drivers assume it is one test. It is two endorsements, and only one of them needs a course.
Drivers Watching the TSA Clock
The hazmat background check takes 4–8 weeks and is the real bottleneck. Finishing hazmat ELDT early lets that clock start while you work on everything else.
