Please read these Terms of Service carefully before enrolling in any DLA Academy course or bundle. By completing a purchase or accessing any course content, you agree to be bound by these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not enroll.

1.Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DLA Academy's website located at academyofdla.com and all associated courses, bundles, and digital products ("Services") operated by DLA Academy ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By enrolling in any course or bundle, creating an account, or accessing any course content, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms apply to all users including students, visitors, affiliates, and any other person who accesses our Services.

2.Description of Services

3.Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in any DLA Academy course. By enrolling, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

DLA Academy courses are accepted in 49 states. Washington State is currently not served. It is your responsibility to verify that DLA Academy's courses are accepted by your state DMV before enrolling. No refund will be issued if your state does not accept our courses — verify at tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov before purchase.

4.Enrollment & Course Access

Upon successful payment, you will receive immediate access to your purchased course or bundle through your Thinkific student account. Course access is granted to the individual purchaser only and is non-transferable.

  • You may not share your login credentials with any other person
  • You may not allow another person to complete your course on your behalf
  • Completion certificates and FMCSA TPR submissions are tied to the enrolling student's information
  • Any fraudulent completion will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to FMCSA

Course access does not expire. You may access your purchased course content at any time after enrollment, subject to the continued operation of the Thinkific platform and DLA Academy's active status on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry.

6.No Refund Policy

⚠ All Sales Are Final — No Refunds

DLA Academy operates a strict no-refund policy. All course purchases, bundle purchases, and add-on purchases are final and non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

• You did not complete the course
• You did not pass the final assessment
• You changed your mind after purchase
• You purchased the wrong course
• Your state DMV did not accept the course
• You failed your state knowledge test
• Technical difficulties on your device
• Your FMCSA TPR submission was delayed
• You no longer need the endorsement

By completing your purchase you acknowledge and agree that you have read and accepted this no-refund policy.

DLA Academy courses are digital products that are delivered immediately upon purchase. Because access to course content is granted instantly, all sales are considered final at the moment of payment. We encourage all students to verify their eligibility, confirm their state accepts DLA Academy's courses at tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov, and review all course details before purchasing.

In the event of a verified technical error caused solely by DLA Academy that prevents you from accessing your purchased content entirely, DLA Academy may, at its sole discretion, provide a course credit or re-enrollment. This is not a guarantee and does not constitute a refund policy.

7.FMCSA Compliance & TPR Submission

DLA Academy is listed on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry and submits student completions to the TPR in accordance with federal requirements. The following terms apply to TPR submissions:

  • Standard submission: Completions are submitted to the FMCSA TPR within 24 hours of passing the final assessment with a minimum score of 80%
  • Same-day submission: Available as a paid add-on. Completions are submitted the same calendar day the course is completed during business hours
  • DLA Academy is not responsible for delays caused by FMCSA system outages, maintenance windows, or federal processing times
  • It is the student's responsibility to verify their completion appears in the TPR at tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov/Check before scheduling DMV testing
  • DLA Academy does not guarantee that completion of ELDT theory training will result in issuance of a CDL endorsement — final determination is made by your state DMV

8.User Conduct

By enrolling in any DLA Academy course you agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with any other person
  • Allow any other person to complete course content or assessments on your behalf
  • Attempt to circumvent course completion requirements or assessment minimums
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or resell any DLA Academy course content without written permission
  • Use DLA Academy's name, logo, or branding without written permission
  • Submit false information during enrollment or course completion
  • Engage in any conduct that could damage DLA Academy's standing with FMCSA or state DMVs

Violation of these conduct standards may result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of course access without refund, and may be reported to FMCSA.

9.Intellectual Property

All course content, materials, videos, assessments, written content, branding, logos, and other materials available through DLA Academy are the exclusive property of DLA Academy and are protected by United States copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

10.Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

DLA Academy's ELDT theory courses are provided "as is" in compliance with FMCSA curriculum requirements. DLA Academy makes no guarantee that completion of any course will result in passing your state DMV knowledge test, obtaining a CDL or endorsement, or securing employment.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DLA Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our Services, including but not limited to:

  • Failure to pass a state DMV knowledge test

  • Loss of employment opportunity
  • Errors or delays caused by FMCSA or state DMV systems
  • Technical issues arising from third-party platforms including Thinkific

In no event shall DLA Academy's total liability to you exceed the amount paid by you for the specific course or bundle giving rise to the claim.

11.Termination

DLA Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to any course at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that DLA Academy determines to be harmful to its business, students, or standing with FMCSA.

Upon termination for violation of these Terms, you forfeit access to all purchased course content with no right to a refund. DLA Academy may also report violations to FMCSA where required by federal regulation.
