If your drivers need ELDT before they test, DLA Academy handles the theory side — fast, affordable, and from a provider listed on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. Not sure who needs it? See our ELDT requirements guide. Every account includes same-day registry submission, so your drivers aren't waiting on us. Buy seats online, or email [email protected] if you need an invoice or purchase order.

2026 — Why Your Provider’s Status Matters
Check Your ELDT Provider Before You Buy

FMCSA has been removing training providers from the Training Provider Registry this year, and a provider’s registry status affects the training it delivers. A vendor check won’t show it — you have to look at the registry.

DLA Academy is active and listed for all five theory courses. Verify us at tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov, and check your current provider the same way. How to audit your driver files →

Fleet Pricing

For organizations training their own drivers — carriers, municipalities, districts and workforce programs. Priced by how many courses each driver needs. Minimum 10 seats. Why bundling courses is cheaper. A driver who needs both CDL B and Hazmat costs $45 on the two-course tier — bought one at a time with same-day, that's $70. If your tankers haul fuel or anything placarded, those drivers need Hazmat anyway — and Hazmat also requires a TSA security threat assessment. TSA’s goal is a decision within 60 days and it recommends starting at least 60 days before the endorsement is needed, so it's worth starting early. See the Hazmat timeline →

Reseller Pricing

For CDL schools, training centers and staffing agencies selling training to their own students. You set your own price — we don't set a floor and we don't market to your students. Same-day submission is included on every seat.

Block size Your cost per seat Under retail Buy-in
25–99 seats $18 10% $450
100–249 seats $16 20% $1,600
250+ seats $14 30% $3,500

Minimum 25 seats. Seats are good for 12 months from purchase. Want us to field your students' questions? Add student support at $8 per student.

Buy Reseller Seats → Your price per seat drops automatically at 100 and 250 seats.
Rather pay monthly? Monthly Partner Plan. 25 seats every month at $18 a seat — $450 a month on one invoice. Need more in a busy month? Extra seats are $18 each on your next invoice, and unused seats roll over. Built for safety councils, schools and programs that enroll students every month. Email Dexter to set one up →

Your Students Never See a Price

This is the part most schools care about. Your students don't buy anything from us — they sign up on a private page with your logo, through your link. There's no checkout, no cart, and no DLA price anywhere. What they pay you is between you and them.

Through your sign-up link
  • Student opens your private link — your logo, their course
  • Seat is claimed from your account — $0 to them
  • No checkout, no cart, no DLA price or retail images
  • You set and keep whatever you charge
  • We never market to your students
Sending them to a retail site
  • Student lands on a public course page
  • Sees the retail price before enrolling
  • Compares it to what you charged them
  • You end up defending your price
  • Your margin becomes the conversation

What Schools Make

Most schools resell ELDT theory between $50 and $109. On a 50-seat block at $18 a seat:

You resell at Your margin per seat Profit on a 50-seat block
$50 $32 $1,600
$60 $42 $2,100
$79 $61 $3,050
$109 $91 $4,550

These are price points commonly seen across the market, not a guarantee of what you will sell at. Your price is entirely yours to set.

If you also do behind-the-wheel, don't price theory separately. Roll it into your program — “CDL Class A Program, ELDT theory included” — instead of listing it as its own line item. Theory and BTW under one roof is something most schools around you can't say, and it's a better thing to lead with than a number.

Terms, Up Front

Seats are good for 12 months

From the date of purchase. Buy what you'll use in a year and add more any time from your partner page — a new block starts its own 12 months.

A claimed seat is spent

Once a student claims a seat it's used, even if they never finish. Claimed seats can't be returned or reassigned, so build in a little slack.

Keep your sign-up links private

You get one private link per course, plus an optional class code your students enter to sign up. Send links per student, not in a group post or on your website. If a link gets out, we replace it and the old one stops working.

Course access runs 365 days

From the day a student claims their seat. Well beyond a normal timeline — most courses take under two hours.

Support is about who fields it

Fleet accounts: your drivers email us directly. Reseller accounts: you're your students' first call and you come to us when something needs our end — or add student support at $8 a student.

Either way we do the back-end

Name corrections, registry resubmissions and certificate reissues are ours on every account. Your website, pricing and marketing are consulting at $150/hr.

All Five ELDT Courses Available

Every account has access to all five ELDT theory courses. Mix and match per driver.

Why Same-Day Submission Matters

For one driver, waiting on a training record is an inconvenience. Across a fleet, every day a finished driver waits on paperwork is a day they're not on the road.

DLA Academy Account
  • Driver completes theory in under 2 hours
  • Submitted to the FMCSA registry the same business day
  • Your drivers aren't waiting on us to move forward
  • Same-day included in the seat price
  • One invoice, one contact, no back and forth
Buying Retail, One Driver at a Time
  • Driver completes theory
  • Standard submission within two business days
  • More waiting before the record shows up
  • Same-day is a $15 add-on per driver
  • No dedicated contact, no bulk pricing

How It Works

1
Choose your seats online

Pick fleet or reseller, choose how many seats you need for each course, and enter your billing details at checkout. Your total and price tier update as you go.

2
Pay by card or bank transfer

Pay securely online. Municipalities, districts and workforce programs that need an invoice, purchase order or Net 30 terms can email [email protected]; we provide a W-9 and complete vendor registration. Invoiced accounts take about 7 business days to set up.

3
Your seats land in your account

As soon as payment clears, your partner page login is emailed to you. It shows purchased, claimed and remaining seats, plus each student's progress, updated as people enroll. Add more seats any time.

4
Share your sign-up links

A private link for each course, tied to your account. Your drivers or students sign up on a page with your logo — no checkout, no DLA price, nothing for them to pay. Send it per person rather than posting it.

5
Same-day submission, plus records for your files

When a driver passes by [CUTOFF TIME] CT on a business day, we submit their completion to the FMCSA registry that same business day. You get completion records showing the submission date, for driver qualification files or funder reporting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order?+
Fleet accounts start at 10 seats. Reseller accounts start at 25 seats. You can add seats any time from your partner page, and seats are good for 12 months from purchase.
How does fleet pricing work?+
Fleet pricing is based on how many courses each driver needs: $29 for one course, $45 for two, $61 for three. Same-day registry submission, student support, invoicing and completion records are included. Bought one driver at a time with same-day, those same packages cost $35, $70 and $105.
Can we pay monthly instead of buying a seat block?+
Yes. The Monthly Partner Plan gives you 25 seats every month at $18 a seat — $450 a month on one invoice. Extra seats are $18 each on the next invoice, and unused seats roll over. Email [email protected] to set one up.
What's the difference between a fleet account and a reseller account?+
Fleet accounts are for organizations training their own drivers — carriers, municipalities, districts and workforce programs — and include student support. Reseller accounts are for CDL schools, training centers and staffing agencies selling training to their own students at their own price. Reseller seats start at $18 with a 25-seat minimum, dropping to $16 at 100 and $14 at 250.
Is same-day registry submission included?+
Yes, on every fleet and reseller seat. A single driver buying retail pays $20 per course plus $15 for same-day submission. Account seats include it.
Do my students see your prices?+
No. Your students sign up on a private page with your logo through your link. There is no checkout, no cart and no DLA price anywhere in that flow, and nothing for them to pay.
What happens if a driver claims a seat and never finishes?+
That seat is spent. Claimed seats cannot be returned or reassigned, so build a little slack into your order. Your partner page shows claimed and remaining at all times.
How long do drivers have access to the course?+
365 days from the day they claim their seat. Most courses take under two hours, so that is well beyond a normal timeline.
Can different drivers take different courses?+
Yes. Choose seats for each course your drivers need at checkout, and you get a sign-up link for each one. Send each driver the link for their course; the link enrolls them in the right course automatically.
Do you invoice municipalities and school districts?+
Yes. We invoice cities, counties, and districts directly, provide a W-9 on request, and can complete whatever vendor registration your procurement process requires. Net 30 is available. Email [email protected]; invoiced accounts take about 7 business days to set up. We already work with municipal fleet departments.
What happens if a training provider is removed from the registry?+
Training providers can be removed from the FMCSA Training Provider Registry, and that affects the training they deliver. Check your provider's current status at tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov before you buy seats — and check ours the same way. How to audit your driver files →
Is DLA Academy listed on the FMCSA registry?+
Yes, for all five theory courses — Hazmat, CDL A, CDL B, Passenger, and School Bus. Verify us directly at tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov. We serve 49 states; Washington State is not served.
Do you provide behind-the-wheel training?+
No — we cover ELDT theory only. If a driver's license class or endorsement also requires behind-the-wheel training, they complete it with a behind-the-wheel provider listed on the FMCSA registry. Many fleets and schools pair our theory with their own or a local BTW program. See our ELDT requirements guide.
How long does each course take?+
Hazmat, CDL A, CDL B, and Passenger each take under 2 hours. School Bus is the fastest at 30 to 45 minutes. All are self-paced, so drivers can finish in one sitting or across a few shifts.
